Kathy Troccoli’s Hope’s Alive Women’s Conference sponsored by Women of Worship will be a time of renewing, restoring and refreshing for women of all ages. Mother’s Day weekend is a perfect time to share the gift of hope with the special women in your life.

Romans 14:8 says:
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations.

How can we hope against all hope and, like Abraham, realize the fruition of what we hope for? The answer lies in the word ‘believe’! If Abraham believed only in his current situation, he would have had no hope at all. Instead he chose to believe in the promises of the Word of God. If our hope is alive in Christ, we have true hope indeed!

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.
Psalm 130:5

Kathy Troccoli (aka KT) is a Christian artist who puts her hope in the Word of the Lord and her trust is in the promises of God. Throughout her life she has hoped against all hope and time and time again God’s promises have proven true.

Kathy’s Italian Catholic family wasn't particularly religious. She says, "The Bible in my family was a book on the end table that was never touched." But in 1978 she gave her heart to the Lord when faced with this question: “Is Jesus a nice guy and a pretty good liar or is He who He says He is?” She rightly chose the second option and has since fallen in love with Jesus.

KT has been challenged with holding on to hope in many difficult situations throughout her life. At the age of 15 she lost her father to colon cancer and in 1991 her mother died of breast cancer. Shortly after the death of her mother, she did some major soul searching as she battled through bulimia. Kathy is now challenged by trying to balance the life of an artist, minister, role model and single woman in today's world. Interestingly enough, this challenge is also her joy!

Kathy’s career has been a roller coaster ride through both contempary and Christian music, a journey which has produced many awards and accolades.

KT holds a unique combination of musical talent, writing and speaking making her a highly sought-after conference guest. Her speaking engagements include Women of Faith and Heritage Keepers among many others. Kathy and her close friend Dee Brestin co-wrote a book titled Falling in Love with Jesus, which was released by Word Publishing in 2001. Troccoli told the Omaha World-Herald in 2003 that "I've finally found my slot in life where I feel I can soar." One of Kathy's greatest pleasures on her tours are the times when she sits on a stool just singing with her piano player, Carl This one-on-one camaraderie with an audience has endeared her to thousands.

Romans 5:3-5 says:
We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint…

Kathy Troccoli has allowed both successes and trials to shape her over the years, equipping her for a multi-faceted career. She is intelligent, funny, real and raw as she bears scars that have produced a powerful and insightful communicator.

KT’s talent has brought her awards, accolades and fame but her hope does not reside in anything this world can bring.

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.
Psalm 62:5

Kathy’s grounded faith comes from the knowledge that all hope lies in Jesus. And thanks be to God, He is RISEN! Jesus is ALIVE and so is the HOPE that resides in our belief in Him and His Word.
