What is WOW?

WOW is the very appropriate acronym for a group of women who have gathered together from different church backgrounds and denominations for one purpose: to glorify the Lord. As Christians we all pray to and praise One, Holy, Living and True God. Women of Worship offers women from diverse Christian backgrounds the opportunity to gather and grow deeper in Christ through prayer, worship, service and fellowship as one body. This is the mission statement of WOW…

We will collaborate our love for the Lord into visible ‘joy in action’ within our community. As a group of women from diverse church backgrounds we will unite to promote Biblical literacy, worship and a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ through sponsoring conferences, Bible study and Christian friendship.

WOW is a non-profit, multi-denominational group of women desiring to grow deeper in relationship with Christ as we fellowship with one another. Only God’s Word can better sum up what we represent as an organization:

May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

As a group we desire to praise God as we serve and worship with one voice for His glory.

Women of Worship will focus first and foremost on honoring the Name of the Lord. We place high value in doing so through the areas of non-denominational service, worship, ministry, Bible study, friendship and prayer.


Vision

To gather as one body of Christian women from churches all over our region for the purpose of strengthening our relationships with each other while seeking deeper intimacy with Christ.
